Andy Wiginton is the program director for Savvy Theatre Works and an adjunct professor at Drew University in Madison, N.J. He is also a graduate student (with an ABD, or "all but dissertation") at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Wiginton earned an MFA in theatre from Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, N.Y., and a bachelor's degree in drama from Residential College at the University of Michigan. He has taught children and adults at prestigious institutions domestically and abroad and is an active member of the American Alliance for Theatre & Education (AATE) and the International Theatre for Young Audiences Research Network (ITYARN-ASSITEJ). Wiginton was the 2010 Winifred Ward Scholar. He currently resides in New York and is working on his dissertation on theatre for young people during the Mexican Revolution, publishing articles and translating plays for young people.
