Cheryl Navo, community theatre writer, actor, director, set designer, artist and costume designer, is a Department of the Army Civilian stationed in Germany and music director for a military community chapel. She first became involved with community theatre in 2009 as an actor in a KMC Onstage Theater production of The Sound of Music. Since then, she has explored a variety of roles in community theatre and won many awards in the process, including outstanding original script at the 2013 IMCOM-Europe AACT One Act Play Festival and best debut director at the 2012 IMCOM-Europe AACT One Act Play Festival. She has written two one-act plays, Parade of Queens and Hotline, which were produced for the 2012 and the 2013 European AACT One Act Play Festivals. Hotline premiered at the Pittsburgh New Works Festival in 2013. Navo is a member of both the American Association of Community Theatre and The Dramatists Guild.
