David R. Remschel came up with the idea for No Room for a Picture on the Blank Wall while serving at an assisted living facility in Abilene, Texas. There he was able to better comprehend the nature of those with dementia and the plights of the families of the afflicted. When not working on a new story, Remschel teaches junior-high theatre arts at Fredericksburg Middle School, finding much success, particularly in the UIL one-act play competition. Remschel lives in Ingram, Texas, a veritable honey hive for the performing arts where he acts with his most beloved wife, Tasha, his constant comfort and support.
