Deborah Baer Mozes is the founder and artistic director of Theatre Ariel. Since the inception of the company, she has given life to more than 36 new plays and directed the mainstage productions of The Rose of Contention, Dividends, Teibel and Her Demon and 36!. Mozes was literary manager and dramaturge for the Walnut Street Theatre in Philadelphia and directed their productions of Waiting for the Parade, With Albert Einstein and T Bone N' Weasel. As associate artistic director of Stageworks Touring Company of New Jersey, she directed Letters Home and the premieres of The Devil Doesn't Dance, Working Together and Vineyards in the Wilderness. From 1973 to 1981, Mozes worked in Canadian regional theater and television. She was the artistic director of the Manitoba Theatre Workshop and guest director for the Actors Theatre of Toronto. She directed scores of new Canadian works including Saturday Night, Stories My Grandparents Told Me and What's My Bid?. She also co-created the award-winning Canadian television series Let's Go (CTV). Mozes was a 1997/1998 artist-in-residence with the Arad Arts Project in Israel, directing and teaching in Arad, Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.
