Duke Stroud is currently a professor of theatre at Pasadena Community College where he has directed more than 100 plays. I'm Sorry the Bridge Is Out, You'll Have to Spend the Night is the most successful play ever performed on the campus. It had an extended run and sold out for six weeks. Stroud is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley where he was selected as an "Illustrious Graduate" in theatre with his picture hanging in the theatre. He holds a master's degree in theatre and an M.A. equivalent in motion picture and television production. TV Guide Magazine once referred to Duke Stroud as a "jack-of-all-tradesÑ having worked as a farmer, rancher, logger, truck driver, United States Army Infantry Officer, college basketball player, Yell Leader, stand-up comic, singer, actor, director, even a bear wrestler and, yes, a passionate educator." Stroud has been actively practicing the craft of acting since graduating from Berkeley. He is best known as the comic-relief, coffee-spilling commander Red Neck Johnson in the movie Top Gun. He starred as Vince McKinnon on the popular soap opera "Another World." He recurred on "General Hospital," "The Young and the Restless," "Equal Justice" and "Law and Order." He has guest-starred in dozens of TV shows, films and more than 300 commercials. Stroud lived in Paris, France, where he starred as Buffalo Bill in Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show.
