Ed Bassett resides in Connecticut after having served in the U.S. Navy where, strangely enough, he discovered his love of theatre. Having performed across the country, he started writing melodramas for a local community theatre and soon had a collection of one-act plays, melodramas and full-length plays. His works have been performed in the U.S. and abroad. He currently works as the executive director of a community theatre with a strong program that develops new plays and musicals. He is also the director and co-writer for a local sketch comedy troupe.
