Elliott Barry Baker changed directions from business to writing in 1992. Spending four years in the BMI Lehman Engle musical theater workshop in New York, Baker was privileged to study and write with many talented writers. The Tooth Fairy's Daughter was his first full-length musical and was selected by the First Look Series of the Educational Alliance in New York for a staged reading. The Tooth Fairy's Daughter enjoyed a second major reading at the Players Ring Theatre and came to the stage in 2003 in a full production by the Bell Center for Music and the Arts. Other plays include The Adventures of Doctor Dolittle (published by Dramatic Publishing), a full-length musical adaptation of Edgar Alan Poe's The Cask of Amontillado, That's Princess With a Pea!, Young Ebenezer and The Reluctant Dragon. A member of The Dramatists Guild, Baker lives in Durham, N.H., with his wife, Sally Ann.
