G.M. (Bud) Thompson was born and raised in Ridgewood, N.J. He holds a bachelor's degree in communications from Hope College in Holland, Mich., and a master's degree in theological studies from McCormick Seminary in Chicago. In addition to being a playwright, he spent 15 years in professional youth ministry. Thompson is also a graphic designer, director, actor and voice talent. He composes and performs folk-rock music and cooks a mean fettuccine Alfredo. His life is navigated by his faith in God, the memory of his mom and dad and the love of his family and friends, especially Bob and Barb, his brother and sister. His dramatic plays A Time to Go Home and One Day at the Zoo are available through Dramatic Publishing.
