Greg Gamble and Lee Howard began their playwriting efforts during the salad days of their youth at Decatur High School in Federal Way, Washington. They spent the '80s crafting many Pythonesque versions of classic fairy tales for colleges and children's theatre companies, and also founded their own comedy troupe, The Outpatient Theatre. For a short time they flirted with Hollywood, but of course, there's a fine line between flirting and harassment. Unable to secure a writing position with a TV show that planned to stay on the air, they wrote, produced, directed and performed in their own film, You Naked. (A satire with no naked people in it! The title was only a shocking non sequitur.) The arrival of the 1990s saw them returning to their theatrical roots by writing and producing one acts for festivals in all corners of Washington state. From political sledgehammer works to the downright silly, their verbose style is instantly recognizable and all their own. Gamble is married, with two children and resides in Federal Way. He is a self-taught chef and unapologetic fan of "watching baseball on the radio." Howard is married and resides in Tacoma, Wash. He spends his spare time actually enjoying all those books you were forced to read in school.
