Jill Pemberton was born in Manchester, England, and has written stories and poetry all her life. After a major operation in 2000, Jill came across Frontiers of the Sea, a collection of short stories by Sir Peter Ustinov. One of these stories, "The Silken Dagger," left such a deep impression that she spent her remaining convalescence period adapting it into a play. Her diversity as a writer was highlighted in her well-received poetry anthology, I've Always Wanted to Write a Book, which raised a considerable amount of money for charity. She has recently completed her first full-length novel, Forgotten Dreams and Nightmares. Jill Pemberton is married to Terry, has two grown-up children and two granddaughters. A highly accomplished Braillist, she now works as a Braille tutor to visually impaired learners. In her spare time she enjoys pottery, origami, walking and yoga.
