Lisa Railsback lives in Austin, Texas, with dogs, cats and other wild animals. She is the recipient of a Jerome Fellowship from the Playwrights' Center, a Bonderman National Playwriting for Youth National Symposium Award, a James A. Michener Fellowship from the University of Texas at Austin, and an Anderson Center writing residency, among other honors. Her plays for adults and children have been seen across the country. Noonie's Masterpiece in Purple (Dramatic Publishing) was adapted into a novel by Chronicle Books in 2010.
