Meg Griffith, originally from upstate New York, has been living in Nebraska for the past 20 years. Three of her earliest plays have been introduced at staged readings at Playwrights Theatre of New Jersey. They include Scrapbooks, October 1989, and as part of a one-act festival in April 1991; Ghost Dog and Touch-Tone. In October 1996, Griffith's play God's Field was featured in a concert reading at Playwrights Theatre of New Jersey. Several of her plays have been finalists for the West Coast Repertory New Play Prize, the Circle Theatre New Play Award, the Elmira College Playwriting Award and the Geraldine R. Dodge New American Play Award, administered by Playwrights Theatre.
