Nancy McArthur is the author of more than a dozen children's books, including her most popular middle-grade novel, The Plant That Ate Dirty Socks, eight sequels and several books for younger readers. She lives in Berea, Ohio, where she also taught journalism part-time in the English department at Baldwin-Wallace College. While McArthur was a freelance writer before starting to write books, she made her living doing public relations for theatre, ballet, and opera, experience which led to her nonfiction book, How to Do Theatre Publicity. She has lots of plants, but they haven't eaten anything... so far.
