Shari Simpson received her masters in acting from the American Conservatory Theater. She played Nina in The Seagull at A.C.T. Studio, the title role of Iphigenia at the Huntington Theatre, Celemine in The Misanthrope at off-Broadway's York Theater, and several roles in the Lincoln Center production of A Wrinkle in Time. She also performed with the comedy troupe Gotham City Improv and has played roles on "Another World" and "Law and Order." As a writer, Simpson co-authored the book to Adventures in Love and the screenplay Welcome to Jaimeville with Charlie Shanian, and her children's play The Story Tree Gang has been performed in New York, Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, Chicago and Jamaica. She lives in Hoboken, N.J., with her husband, Carlito, and daughter, Roselita.
