When a life is lived on the balance of good and evil, where does the soul go once that life is over? Jack Martin was such a man, who treated women as dirt but otherwise lived a decent life. His final destination will be determined by an interview with an afterlife "receptionist" named Delia, who confronts Jack with both his virtues and atrocities, to form a better picture of the perfect outcome for a questionable soul. All, of course, hinges on Jack's acceptance of his death and his decision to move on...but to where? A fast-paced piece with an unexpected ending, this play is sure to leave you wondering about your final destination.
Really kept the audience guessingÑgreat twist. My student director handled this material with ease.
An excellent acting project for young thespians wanting a challenge. A dialogue driven play allowing the actors to delve deeply into each line. The surprise ending, quite simply, works.
Dead is a quirky comedy with an interesting twist. The characters are manageable for high-school students, and the technical requirements are not demanding.
Our student director used a modified thrust bringing the audience in closeÑvery effective.
