Actually, the disease is given to her, by a man who frequents the twilight, who smells like the earth. Her sister, Rill, vows revenge on the man. Eventually, Rill puts herself and this possible vampire on trial. It is a trial of her own devising and it takes place in her own mind. She requests the audience perform the role of her jury.
