Kendall Marlowe is a Chicago writer whose plays include a contemporary American adaptation of Chekhov's The Seagull and the original romantic comedy Give the Lady What She Wants, both produced by Touchstone Theatre. The Gift was originally produced by Organic Theater Company and subsequently toured to the Carmel Performing Arts Festival. His teleplay The 22nd Call was produced by WLS-TV. As an actor, Marlowe has played Greg in Sylvia for Organic and Hjalmar in The Wild Duck, Henry in The Real Thing and Trigorin in The Seagull for Touchstone. He holds his B.F.A. from the University of Illinois and has been a manager on the staff of Goodman Theatre since 1982.
