Marilyn Shockey has written novels, short stories, plays and songs for as long as she can remember. Always fascinated by theatre, she has been active as a writer, performer and producer in community theater and children's theater since the late 1980s, especially enjoying character roles. Five of her humorous musicals based on fairy tales have been produced. What's a Wolf to Do? is the first to be published by Dramatic Publishing. Her children's anthems have been performed by local churches. Shockey lives in Potomac, Maryland, with her husband and two cats and is a member of The Dramatists Guild and the Bethesda Writers Center. She currently serves on the board of directors of Adventure Theatre—the Washington area's longest-running children's theater—and Potomac Theatre Company.
